Fog Ink, a Nashville-Based Publishing Company, Announces 2015 Publishing Calendar
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 9, 2014 – Fog Ink, a division of Nashville-based publishing company Fields of Gold Publishing, Inc., today announces its release schedule for the remainder of 2014 and 2015.
December 9, 2014, will see the release of “Everything You’ve Heard is True,” the second full volume of poetry and prose from Nashville based artist and poet Cory Basil. This release was scheduled in conjunction with the artist’s poetry project called “Letters From the Observatory,” which involves writing poetry on vintage postcards which are then sold on the artist’s Etsy site at https://www.etsy.com/shop/corybasil.
“Boundless,” a Southern Gothic novel by Melissa Wyllie, will release on Feb. 17, 2014. “Boundless” marks the first novel for Ms. Wyllie, a former newspaper editor and journalist, and the author of numerous blogs and journal articles. A noted historic preservation advocate, her passion for the southern literary tradition fuels the novel’s engrossing plot line as it traces the lives of two young women forced to grapple with forces beyond their reckoning in a struggle to preserve more than just their friendship. The “War of Words,” the third volume in The Kingdom Wars series, a collection of middle grade fantasy books by Amy Neftzger, is scheduled for release on June 30, 2015. The series takes place in a kingdom which is under the spell of a wicked sorcerer who has distorted reality so that everyone has difficulty discovering what’s real and what isn’t. Utilizing a strong female lead character and filled with the author’s typical word play, The War of Words examines the importance of language in the search for truth. Due to the synchronization of the poetry project and poetry book, Cory Basil’s sequel to “The Perils of Fishboy,” has been pushed back to August of 2015. The series follows a fish caught in the midst of evolution and finding it difficult to fit in with his friends in the ocean. Filled with adventure as well as lessons on acceptance and understanding those who are different, “The Perils of Fishboy,” has captured the hearts of young readers. Following the success of “The Ferryman,” by Amy Neftzger, which sold over 2,500 copies in the first month, Fog Ink has decided to add a second volume in the series where Fate and Fortune play games with an individual’s destiny. The second book is currently expected to release in October of 2015.
