Lucky Munk debut CD set for release on August 23, 2011


Fog Ink announced the debut release of Lucky Munk, a Nashville band that has been gaining popularity through social networking sites.

Lucky Munk’s first album will be released on August 23, 2011. The band’s sound is a hybrid of genres that may best be described as a guitar driven version of Jamie Cullum with influences from artists like John Mayer and Bruce Hornsby.

The band was founded by Nashville guitarist Tyra Elliott Neftzger  by combining elements of jazz, blues.  With over 15 years of experience composing and performing in various venues, Tyra has now created a band that embodies his unique sound as an arranger and a vocalist.  The band performs new arrangements of familiar tunes as well as their own original songs.
Tyra Neftzger has worked in both the Pop and Jazz genres and has written several articles for All About Jazz.
